Monday was a Wonderful Day!

I had my first cataract removed from my left eye on this day. I couldn't believe, just hours after surgery, how differently I saw the world and all it's beautiful colors. It's like a bright, bright sun shiny day, so clear, so white, so beautiful. The sky is now so very blue, and I no longer live in a dark, dreary world.

For far to many years I have been seeing a yellow white, and the yellow of my cataracts have affected so much of my world and the way I perceive color. I can already watch TV without my old glasses, drive the car, and see so clearly.

In less than two weeks, I'll have the cataract in my right eye removed. I can't wait for this day!

Even today my eyesight is no longer fuzzy after the first surgery.

I'm so glad you had this done Jill. I remember how shocked my Mom was when she had the first one done. You don't realize how affected you are until you can see again. The loss is over such a long time that it's not noticed. Enjoy the colors! You really can now have a new outlook on life!

Lois

That's fantastic! I'm watching my eyesight very carefully, as I have a neurological condition that can damage my optic nerve and make me go blind. Faced with that, I'm that much more aware of the things I see. How easily we take our sight for granted!

Enjoy your day!!!!

That's just super news! Being myopic since childhood, I can so appreciate what it was for you to get some "sight" and relief. Hope the next surgery makes it all better for you. Hugs, Deb
